As the weather warms up, pools are opening and crowds are headed to the beach. National Water Safety Month is the perfect time to ensure you and your family are prepared to spend a fun, safe day by the water.

The Child Abuse and Neglect Conference presented by UF Health (Department of Pediatrics) at the University of Florida sessions have been posted! The conference focused on the medical aspects of child abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. Over 20 dynamics sessions were recorded which provided an understanding of the mechanisms by which injuries are inflicted and the scientific basis for medical determinations as to whether abuse has or has not occurred.


A few of the sessions include:

  • Child Development and Risk for Abused and Neglected Children
  • Munchausen by Proxy
  • Bruises, Bumps and Burns
  • Drug Exposed Children

This webinar is hosted by Midwest Regional Children's Advocacy Center. Changes in the visibility of trans and gender diverse people in the last 3-5 years have dramatically changed the landscape for our community from a tiny minority to a visible stakeholder group globally. This webinar explores trans and gender diverse identities in youth, challenges, barriers, and risks trans youth face, and approaches to best practice in enhancing service to this population.
