December is National Safe Toys and Gifts Month

Tell Us How We’re Doing!

Each year more than 250,000 children are treated at hospitals for toy-related injuries. Most of these injuries affect children under the age of 15, and more than half injure the face; the majority of these injuries can be prevented.

December is National Safe Toys and Gifts Month, and with it comes timely reminders for keeping children’s toy safety top of mind. Click Here to learn how to choose safe toys and gifts for your children this holiday season.

The Center is continuously striving to better serve your needs. Reflecting on your personal experience using the Center’s Web Services, please respond to our monthly survey.

·         Youth in Care Video: A Conversation about Normalcy  The Center had a conversation with several youth who have aged out of the Florida foster care system.  We asked them about what they consider ‘Normalcy’ to be.  They provided us with some insight into their own foster care experiences and the ways in which they felt different from their peers.  Feel free to share this video as you recruit and train quality foster parents, child welfare professionals, GALs, mentors and others.
